With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.About The OpportunityYou will be supporting the business through the strategic procurement, logistics and storage of reactive maintenance spares to maximise network availability for our external customers.Areas of responsibility include:Management of Stock Line Refill replenishment across lower NSW, which includes the physical picking & packing of materialsDay to day safe operation of ARTC Plant & equipment, including vehicles & forkliftsIdentify, recommend & maintain inventory reorder pointsManaging the storage of all inventory products upon deliveryAbility to travel & perform bi-annual stocktakes at all lower NSW inventory locations as per the Inventory Stocktake ProcedureMaintaining the integrity of the ERP system by ensuring a high degree of stock accuracy and effective stock management practicesAssisting the planning teams with storage & logistics of materials required for capital upgrade projectsSupporting end users in finding the correct Catalogue Products for their maintenance activitiesEnsuring that procurement Supply Agreements are effectively utilisedAbout YouTo ensure success in this position, applicants will ideally be able to demonstrate:(Essential Criteria)Inventory experience in a similar role, ideally in Supply Chain & Logistics or Warehouse ManagementExperience in booking, loading & unloading of freightAttention to detail, especially regarding purchase orders, delivery dockets & invoice matchingPurchasing experience in high value & often long lead time environmentsStrong skills using ERP systems & Microsoft OfficeA strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service(Desirable Criteria)Hold a current Telehandler Gold Card licence or experience in operating machines with 5 Tonne lifting capacityFirsthand experience with ERP system Technology One - Ci FinancialsKnowledge of railway materials or previously worked in heavy industrial industriesExperience working in highly regulated engineering environmentsExperience in a multi-site inventory roleWhat do we want from you?Hold a current C Class motor vehicle driver's licenceHold a current High Risk Work Licence with 2 years minimum experienceYear 12 Graduate or relevant work experienceTAFE qualification in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or related discipline (desirable, but not essential)What will you get from us?Talk to us about flexible working optionsCompetitive remunerationResources to support your health and wellbeing and developmentNovated leasing options, as well as discounts and support programs24/7 Employee Assistance Program for all employees and their direct family membersOur Organisation and CultureAt ARTC, we’re more than just a rail network.
