A well-established food distribution company is seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join their team. Role Overview As a Customer Service Representative, the selected candidate will act as a primary liaison between the company, its customers, and the Sales Team. This role involves handling a variety of tasks, from order processing and inventory updates to addressing inquiries and supporting cross-departmental needs. It’s an ideal opportunity for someone who takes pride in providing outstanding customer service and is skilled at multitasking in a fast-paced environment. Customer Service and Order Processing Respond to customer inquiries via phone, answering machine, email, and facsimile. Process incoming customer orders through various channels. Conduct daily outreach to customers regarding out-of-stock items and follow up as needed. Manage over-the-counter sales and process orders from major clients. File orders, collate, and attach marketing specials tailored for customers. Communicate details about new products and samples organized by the Sales Team. Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints through effective communication and negotiation. Support drivers with queries and resolve any issues they encounter. Additional Tasks Stay vigilant for any inconsistencies or non-compliance with company policies in order processing and report them to the Customer Service Manager. Provide assistance to Finance, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing teams when required. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of changes within the business to better assist customers and team members.
