As a Senior Software Developer at St John WA, you’ll shape the design and development of critical software solutions that directly support our mission to provide services across Western Australia. What you’ll do:
* Lead the design and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and adhere to best practices.
* Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for efficient data manipulation and retrieval, query trouble shooting and optimisation
* Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner, providing technical support to resolve production problems.
* Implement updates and patches to address security vulnerabilities, improve functionality, and enhance overall system stability.
* Lead discussions on architecture and design decisions, ensuring alignment with project goals and scalability requirements.
* Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into technical solutions.
* Utilise expertise in programming languages used to build robust and scalable backend systems.
* Design and implement efficient algorithms and data structures, optimising software performance
What you’ll need:
* 5+ years .NET/C# development experience
* Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Software Developer, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
* Track record of successfully delivering complex software solutions.
* Experience with agile development methodologies.
* Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Azure
* Experience with version control systems (Git).
* Solid understanding of web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (Angular, Vue).
* Extensive experience with software development frameworks and tools.
