We have an exciting opportunity for a Infrastructure Program Manager (Mainframe) to join Westpac’s Mainframe Infrastructure Services team within Group Technology. We are open to candidates applying Australia wide as this person will not be expected to be on site but may be required to attend the Sydney office periodically. This person will be responsible for supporting Westpac’s complex mainframe environment and the technical team. This role plays an important part in managing the development and change of the Mainframe and ensures that the agreed solution is delivered within the agreed timeframes. You will be involved in the following responsibilities: Accountable for leading the delivery of projects and changes on the Mainframe platform. Ensuring the technical facets of a project is delivered to scope, time and quality. Accountable for the development of the project Change Management. Work with and provide information to Project Managers or other Subject Matter Experts as required. Ensuring appropriate risk management is implemented. Report on project progress. To be successful in this Infrastructure Program Manager (Mainframe) role, you will have: 10 years’ relevant IT industry experience working with Mainframes 7 years’ experience in a complex IT infrastructure environment incorporating planning, implementation, operational management, configuration, and maintenance. Have good knowledge of Mainframe infrastructure, technologies, and products. Project management skills are desirable, but not mandatory. The ability to navigate around the mainframe platform. Attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. What’s it like to work there?
