Main duties:
* Assist students in navigating post-baccalaureate education systems outside of France, particularly in North America (USA, Canada) and Advise these students and their families on specific university requirements, application deadlines.
* Review and provide feedback on personal essays for applications to US and UK universities.
* Provide personalized follow-up for each student’s international orientation path.
* Prepare students for application processes outside of Parcoursup.
* Provide support with the Common App platform for applications to American universities.
* Facilitate preparation for required tests (e.g., TOEFL, SAT, ACT) and assist with registration procedures
* Work closely with the teaching team and families to ensure optimal student guidance.
* Monitor and regularly update information about admission procedures for foreign educational systems.

* As a member of the educational team, the guidance counsellor will also be responsible for coordinating guidance initiatives at the school level. (PRIO in french system) liasing with head teachers, and will be key point of contact and liaison for the team, students, and families and serves as the primary intermediary with the AEFE's guidance and higher education advisors for all matters related to student information and guidance

Requirements:
-min 2 years experience
-Notarized Bachelor’s Degree and/or teaching degree from American or anglophone University, ideally with some experience in the US
-Good written and verbal understanding of the French language
-Willingness to engage with all aspects of the French education program
-Notarized and clean criminal background check, valid within 6 months
-Ability to adapt in a highly dynamic evolving international school within a West African environment
PLEASE NOTE THAT A BASIC LEVEL OF WRITTEN AND SPOKEN FRENCH IS NEEDED FOR THIS POST
ABIDJAN is considered a main hub in West Africa with record annual economic growth and is an interesting mix of French European and Middle Eastern influence.
