Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full-service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Team Leader to join the night shift team at our site in Scoresby.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Maintenance Team Leader role includes but is not limited to:
1. Lead a small trades team in carrying out PM and breakdown maintenance as planned or directed by relevant Managerial and Supervisory staff.
2. Ensure timely action, satisfactory completion, and follow-up of PM work.
3. Liaise with the site Engineering Manager and Trades Supervisors on a regular basis.
4. Provide job planning support to the site Maintenance Supervisors including job scoping and kitting.
5. Play a pivotal role within a team focused on the development and execution of efficient preventative maintenance practices.
6. Assist with ordering components and liaise with external suppliers and OEMs as necessary with appropriate approval.
7. Provide reasonable site support outside of normal working hours as required.
8. Use and comply with the site requirements of the CMMS.
9. Ensure adherence to Opal values, procedures, and policies with a strong focus on safety.
10. Participate in or provide effective communication and handover reporting to other shifts.

The successful candidate will have:
1. Trade or Tertiary qualification in either the Electrical or Mechanical field.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to problem solve, show initiative, and a willingness to lead a group of individuals.
4. Energetic individual who has a good eye for detail and strong work ethic.
5. Previous supervisory experience would be advantageous.
