LDDSWQL is proud to host these traineeships and acknowledge that this training project is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.About the RoleThe Queensland Government's Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative represents a significant investment to support Queenslanders into work. Skilling Queenslanders for Work provides training to people who are under-utilised or under-employed in the labour market, as well as build your employable skills. The paid roles will be for a fixed 6 month term, full-time. During your working week, you will be supported to complete a Certificate online, that is awarded after it is achieved. Your role will support our existing staff and volunteers within our Business Division (Distribution).Employment: Fulltime 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6 Month Contract.Location: ToowoombaKey ResponsibilitiesAssist staff in the preparation of shipments of stock to the retail outlets so that stock consignment is achieved on time and with minimal delay or disruption.Assist in promoting sound working relations between sorters, truck drivers and shop managers.Ensure there is appropriate receiving, internal distribution and storing of all stock including unsorted donations, shop stock and recyclable material.Work with key staff to continuously improve operating processes and identifying quality cost effective solutions to maximise bottom line results.Attend and actively participate in regular line management and supervision activities and meetings that will be scheduled from time to time.Complete a Certificate in Workplace Skills during work hours.About youBe over 18 years of age.Be positive with a can-do attitude.Willingness to learn on the job.Be reliable.Commit to 6 months full-time work, Monday to Friday.Applications will only be accepted via Apply with SEEK and must be received no later than the 10th March 2025.
