Part Time (0.6FTE), Continuing Opportunity for an organised and dedicated Education Officer (Academic Integrity and Appeals)Utilise your administrative experience to support academic integrity and student appeals processes.Base Salary $99,455 + 17% superannuation (to be pro-rated)About the opportunityThe Faculty of Medicine and Health’s Education team are seeking an Education Officer (Academic Integrity and Appeals) to provide a broad range of education administrative and operational support to Academic and Teaching staff to meet the educational support needs of the faculty. Coordinate key data gathering activities related to student academic records and educational policy while supporting key processes in academic integrity and appeals, and provide support for academic decision-making in these areas. Provide education support services in line with academic requirements and the overall timetable for the work area. Ensure compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory controls and ensure a safe working environment for all staff and students. Manage and coordinate the case handling of complaints or concerns regarding academic integrity and appeals across the faculty and manage the investigation of allegations in accordance with university policies and procedures. Ensure consistent and sound decision-making is in line with such policies and the University’s best practice principles.Your key responsibilities will be to:provide a broad range of education and operational administrative support to faculty Academic and teaching staff and education unit professional staff in relation to the processing of academic integrity and appeals casescoordinate and administer the work required for appeals, academic integrity, and complaints in collaboration with relevant academic staffresolve complex matters that may arise with discretion, tact, and diplomacy, utilising extensive experience and knowledge of university policy and practice in the work areacoordinate investigations into appeals, potential misconduct or academic dishonesty in accordance with university policy and procedures, providing evidence, advice and impartial summaries to decision-makers as cases requiredraft all correspondence to students and relevant staff regarding outcomes of cases and appeals for review by the Associate Dean and other relevant academicscontribute to the FMH Education Community of Practices, Forums, and other professional development activities.About youhave relevant administrative experience, preferably in a student administration settingpossess exceptional time management skills, and stakeholder communication skillshave excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and problem-solving skillshave the ability to use different digital tools and platforms to complete work goalshave discretion, tactful communication and conflict resolution skills.Sponsorship / work rights for AustraliaPlease note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
