The Role: Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Asset Manager to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of capital and maintenance programs at an operational level, providing essential support to Senior Leaders in the development, procurement, and execution of capital and maintenance projects. You will manage the daily operations and upkeep of owned and leased premises, facility systems, equipment, and ancillary assets. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Facility and Asset Management: Lead the development of a strategic asset management plan, set CAPEX and OPEX budgets, manage maintenance programs, and oversee procurement processes for consulting and building services. Project Management: Handle major and minor capital expenditure works, inform stakeholders of project progress, and conduct building inspections. Operational Oversight: Develop policies and procedures, approve quotes and work orders, negotiate contracts for property services, and respond to emergencies. Safety and Compliance: Provide guidance on legislation, ensure work venues and vehicles are safe, and participate in policy development. Leadership: Mentor and support direct reports, manage performance reviews, and oversee HR responsibilities. Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development and be receptive to feedback. Organizational Responsibilities: Adhere to all organizational policies, act in ways that advance organizational objectives, and perform other duties as directed. Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar Asset Management role Significant experience in contractor management in a commercial building environment Experience in sourcing and negotiating contracts Project management and planning skills Strong technical background in mechanical or engineering services, especially HVAC systems Experience in managing team members and providing high-level support Demonstrated knowledge of key legislation and standards (Workplace Health and Safety, building requirements) Ability to review and analyze business data for effective reporting and decision-making Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, including preparing high-level reports for executives This is a diverse and challenging role in a rewarding environment.
