The AIHW has offices in Canberra and Sydney and offers remote work opportunities for many roles. About the role: The Business and Technology Group (BTG) is responsible for most of the AIHW's corporate enabling functions including HR, facilities, finance, and IT. Due to the recent rapid growth of the AIHW, BTG is creating a new unit called HR Services and Facilities Unit. This unit will be responsible for payroll (currently in the Finance Unit), and for recruitment and facilities (currently in the People and Facilities Unit). It will consist of about 10 staff. This new unit will work closely alongside the People and Culture Unit, which will have responsibility for all other HR matters. Under general direction from the Group Head, you will: Oversee the payroll function, which is staffed in-house and uses Frontier's iChris payroll system in the cloud. Oversee the recruitment function, which uses Acendre software. Oversee the facilities function, which is responsible for supporting 4 office leases and providing reception services to the AIHW's main Canberra office. Work closely with the Head of the People and Culture Unit on matters that require the close cooperation of both units (e.g. using the payroll system for HR reporting, WHS matters requiring action by the facilities team, SES recruitment). Provide advice to the Executive on payroll, recruitment, and facilities matters. To be eligible to apply for this vacancy, you must: Be an Australian citizen.
