This branch is responsible for asset custodianship and overseeing asset lifecycle management across all customer and community facing infrastructure classes. The portfolio includes 1470 buildings across the Gold Coast, ranging from the home of the arts (HOTA), the City's 9 Aquatic centres through to local community clubs.About your new roleThe Asset Management Planning Officer (Capital) is responsible for the development of the 4 and 10 year capital renewal program for the Community Facilities portfolio. In this role you will review various sources of data and undertake site visits to verify available information, compiling a range of renewal programs to ensure assets meet defined levels of service. You will also manage periodic asset revaluations. This work will feed into the development of Asset Management Plans and associated documents for this portfolio.The Asset Management Planning Officer (Performance) is responsible for the lifecycle monitoring and management of the Community Facilities portfolio. In this role, you will review and report on asset performance, risk profile, effectiveness of maintenance and renewal programs, completeness, and accuracy of asset data such as handover documentation, condition and other inspection programs, and make recommendations to improve lifecycle management based on available data. You will also manage periodic asset revaluations. This work will feed into the development of Asset Management Plans and associated documents for this portfolio.We're looking for people who have:Bachelor degree in related discipline (e.g. engineering, construction management, architecture, town planning) and 3+ years experience in building Asset Management environmentCurrent Driver Licence C class unrestricted licenceAbility to understand strategic directions and implement at a technical levelExperience with whole of life asset management including: Asset management planning: lifecycle management planning (proactive asset intervention strategies and renewal planning)Capital works planningAsset maintenance planningWorking knowledge of business and operational planning, including: Financial planning and financial managementWork program planning and managementContribution to tactical and operational business plansHigh level of interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare high quality reports and presentations in a clear, concise and timely manner.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across different levels of the organisation.Self-motivation and demonstrated initiative, creativity and the ability to foster enthusiasm among fellow staff.Exceptional organisational skills and ability meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Experience in local government or government-related entities is not essential but will be regarded highly.Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft office such as MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and the ability to quickly adapt to enterprise software applications used by the City such as SAP, Pathway, JIRA.Be part of shaping the Gold Coast's futureThe Gold Coast is inspired by lifestyle and driven by opportunity.
