Central Coast Local Health District are looking for a suitably qualified Level 4 Health Clinician, to join their friendly and supportive Whole Family Team. We are offering a permanent full time position, and you will be based at the Gateway Centre at Gosford.

About You
9. A tertiary degree and full registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Nurse or Senior Psychologist or eligibility for membership of AASW as a Social Worker, and alignment with relevant professional practice domains.
10. Specialist knowledge and experience of current Drug and Alcohol assessments, interventions and models of care, in context of working with families.
11. Demonstrated skills in leadership, providing clinical supervision and practice development, including advanced skills in communication.

Where you will be working / What you will be doing
The Clinical Lead – Drug and Alcohol Whole Family Team (WFT) is responsible for the leadership and supervision of clinicians providing interventions for families with parental Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol. The team works towards the recovery and ongoing safety and wellbeing of families and their children involved with the child protection system.
The Clinical Lead will demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning and specialist knowledge in substance use assessment and intervention, and provides a comprehensive service to complex and vulnerable families, inclose collaboration with Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) as well as other health services, relevant government and non-government agencies. There is a focus on strengthening parenting capacity so children can safely remain with their family.
The Clinical Lead works closely with their managers and colleagues within VAN Services, Drug and Alcohol and more broadly across the health service to facilitate recovery, integrated and trauma informed care that is holistic and seamless. They actively support their team to be innovative, culturally safe and evidence based to develop and deliver effective and sound interventions that operationalise the NSW Health Prevention and Response to Violence Abuse and Neglect (PARVAN) Framework, relevant Service Standards, Guidelines and Policy and Procedures.
