The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the operations, providing operational, compliance and advisory support to the operational areas of the business.
Demonstrated experience in the supervision of operations within the Waste Industry is required along with formal training in Work Health & Safety.
A team player with good communication skills to influence and engage audiences across all levels of the organisation in developing a safety conscious culture by modelling and complying with appropriate safety instructions and behaviours is fundamental.
Capability to supervise change effectively, with good analytical and reasoning capabilities, demonstrated consultative orientation and efficient time management skills, to prioritise and handle several different tasks at the same time is critical.
Computer literacy, particularly experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, with the added ability to operate and maintain computerised office information while adhering to the Company Management System is essential.
A current and valid Vic driver’s license and HR licence is required.

11. Property damage investigation & management

14. Co-ordinate pre-employment medical and assessment processes
Strategic
15. Responsibility for day to day operations & staff performance
16. Provide effective leadership, communication and vision to all staff
17. Communicate & maintain core values of the business
18. Ensure organisation is meeting its short, medium & long-term goals
Planning
19. Rostering
20. Daily, weekly & monthly priorities
21. Operations plans & plans of management
22. Ongoing Review & improvement
23. Identify & grow partnering opportunities
Management
24. Adherence to company policies & procedures
25. Implementation of operations plans
26. Depots & bin yards (including presentation/cleanliness)
27. Maintenance teams (internal & outsourced)
28. Outsourced supply arrangements
29. Maintenance/parts supply arrangements
30. Compliance, Onboard scales (weights & measures) & bin certifications
31. Company driver recruitment
32. Owner driver recruitment
33. Data entry and data quality in all systems
Operations
34. Company & brand market presence – Asset presentation + uniformed staff
35. Branding in accordance with approved “Branding Guidelines”
36. Asset Utilisation
37. Management of run density
38. Operational Driving support as required
Accounts
39. 1st Stage approval Owner Driver invoices
40. 1st stage approval maintenance & supply invoices
Administration/Reporting
41. Daily, weekly & monthly reporting as directed
42. Monthly reporting & KPIs within 5 business days EOM
43. Adherence to internal processes and procedures
44. Accurate record keeping & schedules
45. Approval of staff time sheets & leave requests
