About the Role: The Acute Community Intervention Service provides timely comprehensive assessment and delivers evidence-based treatment in the most appropriate setting at the 'front end' of service delivery. This includes short-term interventions and treatment for those whose illness can be readily managed, as well as seamless engagement with longer-term care for those with relapsing or enduring conditions.
Within a team structure, the clinician will assess in any setting persons referred to ACIS; to plan, implement, and review treatment and support; and to provide treatment and support in the community wherever possible. These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The position will work a rotating roster over seven days per week, 24 hours per day, in accord with core service demands.
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Clinician (Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 44 / Social Worker Grade 3 / Occupational Therapist Grade 3) to join our friendly team. This role is a full-time ongoing role based at Dandenong Hospital. Part-time options will also be considered.
About You: Ability to prioritise, plan, and organise work and undertake self-development. Recognises the importance of teamwork and actively facilitates relationships across teams and sectors. Confident communicator, able to deliver concise clinical summaries both verbally and in writing. Focused on providing quality, person-centred services by addressing the needs of stakeholders. Ability to use logic, experience, and analysis to make decisions and solve problems. Maintains effectiveness while adjusting to changing priorities. Manages resources to deliver effective and efficient person-centred care. Mandatory requirements of the role: Nursing: Must be a Registered Nurse with registration from AHPRA. Must have a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing or equivalent. 3 years post-registration experience in mental health, preferably in an acute setting. Current and satisfactory Police Check. Current Working With Children Check. Leadership qualification or working towards the same is desirable. Social Work: Bachelor or Masters in Social Work or equivalent. Eligible for ordinary membership of AASW. Occupational Therapy: Bachelor of Occupational Therapy or equivalent. Current general registration with AHPRA - Occupational Therapy. 3 years post-registration experience in mental health, preferably in an acute setting. General: Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
