Structural Engineer - ( 240002KC )DescriptionAbout the roleAre you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for the next step in your career?Due to a strong pipeline of new project work we are looking for a Structural Engineer based in our Newcastle office.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of social and professional engineers to deliver great projects.Our structural team is a highly respected and established group of engineers that possesses a solid pipeline of work.You will be working on and leading projects across a range of engineering disciplines, including residential, commercial, water infrastructure, industrial and civil structures.Our culture has a strong focus on learning, personal development and training.The seniors are hands-on with delivering projects, however, allow employees opportunities to gain more responsibility and more ownership/autonomy over their work.This role will report to the Structural Group Lead and provide you with options to grow within the role and move into a Team Leader position.We offer flexible work arrangements such as work from home, staggered hours and other flexibility options.Our supportive work environment allows you to tailor your career path ensuring planned investment into your training and development as well as access to long term career opportunities.Day to day tasks may involve:Design and document structural engineering solutions to meet the requirements of Australian Standards and best industry practice.Mentoring junior staff in structural engineering and undertaking reviews of structural models, calculations, specifications and drawings.Prepare high-quality reports and other related documents.Coordinate and Collaborate engineering designs with other teams and disciplines.Carry out construction phase services including site inspections and RFI's.Help win work and drive a result orientated and enthusiastic culture for project delivery.Contribute to the growth of the company in the marketplace including participation in business planning activities.QualificationsTo be successful for this role you'll need to:Bachelor's degree in civil or Structural Engineering, other relevant qualifications and industry experience.CPEng Qualification will be looked upon favourably.Ideally have 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.Have a design approach of providing our clients with great value.This includes practical and good value designs, responsive service and a can-do attitude.Proven experience with structural design software such as;
