About the Opportunity
Are you an experienced Anaesthetic/Recovery or Scrub/Scout Nurse looking for the opportunity to strengthen your skillset across all perioperative disciplines in a supportive learning environment? The Peri-Operative Services at Bowral and District Hospital are seeking dedicated, hardworking and experienced perioperative Registered Nurses to join our vibrant team. Multiple permanent full-time and part-time positions are available.
We are looking for someone who is a positive contributor in a team environment and who has a personable outlook to their work. The ideal candidate will be someone who is flexible and dynamic in their skills and who has previous scrub, scout or anaesthetic theatre experience. Where You'll Be Working
Bowral & District Hospital is situated in the beautiful Southern Highlands and encompasses the southernmost part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District. The hospital boasts a new operating theatre and clinical services building which was completed in 2020, providing service to the local community and a strong learning environment for clinical staff. Ample free parking is available on surrounding streets with only a short walk to the hospital and a bustling town centre nearby.
What You'll Be Doing
The Registered Nurse works as part of the health care team and demonstrates competence in the provision of safe, compassionate, high quality and person-centered care. The skilled Perioperative Registered Nurse will work in alignment with relevant standards and policies to deliver a high standard of clinical care within their scope of practice. * Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an environment appropriate to the relevant speciality
* Demonstrated ability to provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
* Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
* Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
* Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
* Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
