Full time, continuing position with the University of Sydney Great opportunity for an experienced Senior Technical Facilities Manager Offering a competitive remuneration package including 17% superannuation About the opportunity The Senior Technical Facilities Manager leads the Technical Facilities Management team responsible for HVAC/ Electrical / Fire and Hydraulics.The incumbent will guide the technical team, oversee developmental works, and actively seek opportunities for improvements.Your key responsibilities will be to: guide and support the team, ensuring effective planning, scheduling, and delivery of both hard and soft maintenance services, in alignment with established procedures oversee all, maintenance, and corrective works programs, ensuring minimised disruptions to stakeholders and compliance with relevant regulations drive financial planning and management for facilities, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints, and actively seeking opportunities for risk mitigation and operational improvements.lead the refinement of stakeholder engagement methodologies, ensuring robust feedback mechanisms are in place, and drive initiatives to enhance service delivery drive the strategic direction for work area reporting and ensure the highest standards of legislative compliance drive the strategic direction of budgeting processes, ensuring the effective allocation of resources, and provide insights to senior leadership on financial trends and forecasts champion the optimal use of resources across the work area, setting benchmarks and standards for efficiency and effectiveness in delivering work area services mentor and support the management team, promoting continuous professional development and operational efficiency manage the performance and development of staff, including performance review, professional development and career management lead initiatives for risk management and workplace health and safety, setting the standard for safety and compliance, and ensuring readiness for any audits or reviews.About you The University values courage and creativity;
