We will actively match against positions as they arise over the next 18 months.DCS Clerk Grade 7/8Full-Time Temporary - 12 months with the possibility of extensionParramatta and Orange location with hybrid working - weekly attendanceAbout the teamThis newly established team supports the delivery of the strategic roadmap to consolidate and harmonise shared services operations and systems across the NSW public sector.Involving the consolidation and optimisation of systems and processes across the BPO team, the program will lead to improved operational effectiveness and a better customer and employee experience.About the roleThe Business Analyst role sits in the Business Process Operations (BPO) branch within Government Shared Services (GSS). The Business Analyst (BA) will identify, analyse and document business processes, systems, and other functional requirements to support efficient delivery of business operations and performance in line with organisational strategies and operational plans.Recruitment processWe are currently running a recruitment to create a Talent Pool for multiple Business Analyst roles that will soon become available across various Directorates within BPO. The skills and experience required across the three directorates are below:Business Transformation (Paramatta based role)Experience supporting projects that deliver financial, IT and service management transformations.Business Analyst experience supporting business transformation solutions, including flexible, scalable processes and technology that support efficient business operations.Experience in supporting change impacts, risks, issues and interdependencies across multiple project streams.Business Analysis experience supporting complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders.An understanding of shared services processing operations, including payroll and financial services (e.g. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) within Government.HR Production and Transformation (Paramatta or Orange based role)Experience supporting SAP HCM transactional services, ideally supporting large scale SAP HCM projects.Extensive experience in supporting end to end HR transactional (Payroll and / or Organisational Management) services in a complex shared services environment with a diverse client base.Business Analysis experience supporting complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders.Business Analysis experience supporting the successful adoption of harmonised business transformation solutions, including flexible, scalable processes and technology that support efficient business operations.Business Readiness (Parramatta based roles)Experience supporting projects that deliver financial, IT and service management transformations.Business Analyst experience supporting business transformation solutions, including flexible, scalable processes and technology that support efficient business operations.Experience in supporting change impacts, risks, issues and interdependencies across multiple project streams.Experience documenting and analysing business processes, systems and other functional requirements via detailed process diagrams with the ability to recommend improvements.Business Analysis experience supporting complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders.Your day-to-dayIdentify, analyse and translate business processes, technical functions and a broad range of data to enhance business performance.Investigate problems, analyse options and provide recommendations for new and existing services.Deliver targeted data driven insights into the underlying drivers of commercial outcomes to translate complex analysis into meaningful insights and develop appropriate recommendations to support decision making.Commitment to customer service and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.Review and propose business improvements and contribute to the development, facilitation, coordination and communication of initiatives and strategies to ensure organisational consistency and adoption of best practice.What we need from you:To apply, please attach a copy of your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and capabilities.Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $110,266 base plus superannuation.Closing Date: Friday, 18 April 2025 at 9.59am AESTCareers at Department of Customer ServiceA career at the Department of Customer Service (DCS) gives you the opportunity to help improve government services and be part of reform that benefits people across NSW.
