A specialist company with a national footprint in multidisciplinary heavy industrial projects is seeking a talented and experienced Cost Engineer to play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of its projects. Located in Southern New South Wales with 4 other offices across Australia, projects range from various industries including Water & Wastewater, Infrastructures, Mining, Production Plants, and BULK Materials handling around Australia.
Key responsibilities: Mitigate risk factors through the identification and project analysis of large industrial projects. Develop and maintain detailed cost estimates, budgets, and project schedules, including analyzing historical data and market trends. Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for new build projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and other expenses. Identify cost-saving opportunities, recommending strategies to optimize project costs. Develop detailed estimates, bids, and proposals to maximize profitability and minimize risks. Oversee project plans, CAD Design specifications, BOMs, and bid documents to determine the scope of work and potential cost implications. Supervise project P&L, monthly financial and budget reporting to Directors. Client meetings, and site inspections, while planning engineering and trades activities. To apply you will have: A committed Lead Cost Engineer / Estimator. 5 years + of experience as a Cost Engineer in a similar role. Expert knowledge of estimation, budgeting and scheduled principles. Strong understanding of civil, mechanical, and/or structural engineering. Extensive experience and proven track record leading both people and projects. Proficiency in estimating software. Salary:
Our client offers competitive remuneration packages, which vary with regards to experience, $110,000 to $130,000 + Super (depending on experience) and package.
