About the Role This key role in the Primary Mental Health team will provide primary mental health nursing services to the patient population at Port Phillip Prison. You will be responsible for patient treatment, management, assessment, and ongoing reviews, as well as crisis assessment, development of risk management plans, and engaging the patient in the development of their mental health recovery plans including referrals to other service needs, discharge planning, and liaison with external stakeholders.
Classifications for this position will be RPN Grade 3 NP81 – NP74 ($99,439.60 - $110,432.40 per annum, pro-rata).
Your Contribution You are a motivated, engaging, and compassionate person who is looking to make a difference in the lives of those who are vulnerable. You will bring demonstrated psychiatric nursing experience to the role and hold a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health. You are a team player with exceptional communication skills which will allow you to direct and encourage a multidisciplinary team.
You will also have:
Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Nursing that meets the requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
Willingness to obtain G4S security clearance
Current driver's license
