You will also play a role in preparing and implementing strategic land use and development studies, strategies and policies, preparing and processing planning scheme amendments and will conduct a range of stakeholder engagement activities.Key aspects of the role include:Assist with the development and review of various policies, standards, and guidelines relating to Council’s growth.Maintain strong and effective working relationships with key stakeholders including land owners, key developer groups, internal Council units, and government agencies.Maintain an active line of communication with all Council Units on strategic planning matters.Provide assistance and advice on development plans, planning scheme amendments, growth area planning, and infrastructure coordination issues.Key Selection Criteria:Relevant tertiary qualifications in planning, environmental management, or related fields.Proven experience in strategic and/or statutory planning or similar disciplines.Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Applied project management skills relevant to complex strategic planning projects.Proficient written and verbal communication abilities.Use the “apply” button to commence your application.Applicants will be required to:Complete an online form and address the key selection criteria as outlined above.Upload a current resume.Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to provide the following:A copy of a recent National Police Check.Any other mandatory requirements outlined in the position description.The completion of a pre-employment functional assessment might also be required.
