About the Role:
As an Extension Advisor in Tasmania, you will collaborate closely with dairy farmers and regional networks to facilitate engagement with Dairy Australia's Research, Development and Extension programs.
Your expertise in planning, evaluating and reporting, combined with knowledge of dairy feedbase, nutrition or agribusiness, will support your success in this role.
You will apply strong facilitation skills to support farmer-led discussion groups and leverage project management experience in the agricultural sector to deliver key objectives.
You are open to exploring issues impacting farmers across Tasmania and the dairy industry broadly and identifying potential solutions.
This is a fixed-term contract opportunity until 2026.

Ideal candidates will possess a degree in agriculture, environment or equivalent, or extensive knowledge of the Australian dairy industry.
Demonstrated experience in working with farmers and groups of farmers, including information delivery and program implementation, will be advantageous.
You will also need to understand how technology can impact extension and utilize our CRM (Salesforce) to promote events and capture data.
