Hello, I am a 41-year-old female with treatment Resistant Schizophrenia Disorder, Dependant Personality Traits, Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 and Metabolic Syndrome.
I am looking for fun loving, honest, reliable and resilient support workers to assist me in achieving my NDIS goals.
I like going for long drives to the beach and parks where I can feed animals.
The RoleAn Opportunity is available to join my team of wonderful support workers who help to facilitate my daily life. My support workers assist me on a 1 to 1 throughout the day.
Due to my diagnosis of treatment resistant Schizophrenia, I hear a lot of voices and get delusional thoughts, in situations like this, sometimes I like to be on my own and sometimes I would like my staff to support me by sitting with me and talking to me. I like you to be respectful, polite, kind and have patience.
Key responsibilities:
Assist me with ADL’s
Personal care
Manual Handling
In home activities such as cooking and arts
Support me to achieve my goals to reach my potential in all facets of my life.
Support my life skill development through proper implementation of established plans and programs to support the achievement of goal outcomes for me.
Actively engage in person centred active support.
Maintain accurate records.
Shifts
I am looking for someone to support me on a PT basis, my shifts are generally but not limited to
Week 1: Tuesday 0700am – 1500pm, Thursday 0700am – 1500pm, Friday1500pm – 2300pm + P (2300 pm –0700am)
Week 2: Monday and Tuesday 0700am – 1500pm, Saturday and Sunday 1500pm – 2300pm + P (2300 pm –0700am)
Week 3: : Tuesday 0700am – 1500pm, Thursday 0700am – 1500pm, Friday1500pm – 2300pm + P (2300 pm –0700am)
Week 4: Monday and Tuesday 0700am – 1500pm, Saturday and Sunday 1500pm – 2300pm + P (2300 pm –0700am)
Week 5: Tuesday 0700am – 1500pm, Thursday 0700am – 1500pm, Friday1500pm – 2300pm + P (2300 pm –0700am)
Week 6: Monday and Tuesday 0700am – 1500pm, Saturday and Sunday 1500pm – 2300pm + P (2300 pm –0700am)
The ideal candidate will have:
NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability related check
Current Driver's Licence
Current First Aid Certificate
Current CPR
Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or other relevant qualification
Dysphagia training
Manual Handling Level 2
About you:
I am looking for someone who is respectful, polite, kind and patient. I would like you to encourage, prompt and role model with me household tasks such as washing cleaning, attending to personal hygiene, and cooking.
I have a structured routine that I would like you to follow. With my limited verbal skills, please show patience and offer me choices and options.
Other requirements:
Experience in working with people who have experience with high behaviours of concern’s
Ability to implement individualised developmental programs.
Experience implementing positive behaviour support strategies.
Flexible working hours
Experience in various models of support preferred.
Ability to adapt quickly to changes in service delivery.
