Commercial Manager
We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Manager to join our team at ConsultANZ, a leading civil engineering contractor in Auckland.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and driving business growth.
Main Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
* Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand revenue streams.
* Establish and track sales targets and financial objectives.
* Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
* Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure commercially beneficial outcomes.
* Analyze market trends and performance data to optimize business strategies.
* Manage budgets and financial planning related to commercial operations.
* Work closely with internal teams to align commercial strategies with overall company goals.
* Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks governing commercial activities.
* Oversee project forecasting, financial reporting, and cost management.
* Lead and manage the commercial team, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in project delivery.
Requirements:
* 10+ years of experience in the civil construction industry.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and manage teams.
* Background in Quantity Surveying and cost control.
* Expertise in contract administration and commercial negotiations.
* Proven ability in financial project management, including subcontractor oversight, claims, variations, and progress reporting.
* Experience using JDE systems is highly desirable.
