School of Dentistry Full-time (100%), permanent position Base salary will be in the range $112,572 - $133,381 17% Superannuation (Academic Level B) Based at our Herston campus About This Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lecturer in Periodontics to focus their efforts on growing their profile in clinical teaching, clinical research and service and engagement. At this level the incumbent may coordinator or lead the activities of other staff. Key responsibilities will include: Teaching: Develop a growing teaching profile, conduct clinical teaching, develop course material and new programs, contribute towards educational practice and innovative curriculum design, maintain quality of courses, provide academic counselling and advice, and adhere to university teaching rules. Research: Produce clinical research outputs, participate in applications for competitive research funding, collaborate on joint clinical research projects, and contribute to transfer of knowledge, technology, and practices. Supervision and Researcher Development: Supervise students, recruit and manage employees, provide performance feedback and training, resolve conflicts, and ensure correct remuneration and benefits. Citizenship and Service: Develop partnerships, demonstrate leadership through mentoring, engage in internal service roles and committees, perform administrative functions, provide support to colleagues, and uphold university values. About You Completion of an advanced professional qualification and/or Higher Degree by Research in the discipline area. A growing profile in clinical teaching and/or clinical research in the discipline area. Industry knowledge and experience in a specialist capacity, including evidence of supporting the implementation of new and innovative clinical techniques. A record of peer reviewed publications in reputed refereed journals and presenting at conferences. Evidence of a high level of quality clinical teaching at undergraduate postgraduate and/or professional entry level. Experience in course coordination and contribution to the development and continuous innovation of new programs, curriculum design and course material in the discipline area. Experience in meaningful internal service roles in conjunction with significant contributions to external activities that foster links within the profession within the relevant specialty.
