APD Distribution has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual who can drive change and process improvements in the digital area.
As a Digital Operations Consultant, you will play a key role in executing our digital strategy and driving digital transformation within our dealer network.
Your primary role will consist in working with assigned dealers in Australia and develop their digital capabilities in line with the Caterpillar Digital Strategy and Excellence Program to support Services Growth.
The Digital Operations Consultant provides Subject Matter Expertise in Connectivity, Platform & Data and Applications with a particular focus on growing eCommerce sales and active customers, increasing the number of connected assets, Data Health and increasing the usage of our equipment management applications.
In this role, you will work directly with Dealers, including Senior Dealer Management, as well as many internal business partners across the enterprise.
This position provides an opportunity to work in a fast evolving environment and contribute to the Services Growth Strategy by working on enterprise-wide recognized initiatives and improving dealer digital capabilities and performance.
To succeed in this role, strong Communication, Change and Project Management skills are essential.
What the Role Entails: Driving execution of Digital priorities with dealers – Deliver ecommerce growth, connectivity, digital deployment targets.
Develop dealer capabilities for eCommerce solutions and drive customer adoption and online part sales.
Support the deployment of eCommerce Global Dealer Standards.
Conducting the Digital Excellence Program assessment with dealers, establish and execute action plans and governance reviews to improve dealer digital capabilities.
Leading the development of an aligned dealer digital roadmap and Cap & Cap plan.
Manage timely execution of digital deployments as the single point of contact with the dealer.
Driving engagement with key dealer and Caterpillar stakeholders to ensure dealer capabilities and integration points needed for Digital deployments are understood.
Being the main Digital contact for Distribution Director and Field Reps and internal business partners (Cat Digital and Industries) and provide Subject Matter Expertise to improve Digital and Technology capacity and capability.
Aligning strategies of the dealer, Cat Digital, Aftermarket Services, Industries and Caterpillar Distribution Services Divisions.
Keeping up with new industry trends, changing technology and regulations affecting customers and competitive environment.
Skills to be Successful in this role: Proven ability to drive operational improvements with dealers and customers.
Demonstrated ability to quickly understand dealer culture with the ability to translate that understanding into a tailored approach to selling the value of Digital offerings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentation proficiency and a demonstrated ability to earn trust and credibility with senior management teams.
Ability to influence internal and external partners at all hierarchy levels to successfully drive change.
Extensive project management, change management and process improvement experience.
Self-starter, able to work autonomously and in teams.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree preferably in Marketing, Digital, Engineering, Information Technology, or similar.
Operational and marketing experience gained from a broad range of assignments requiring Dealer and/or customer contact and interactions is preferred.
Additional Information: This position will require up to 30% Travel.
