The CNC - Consumer Engagement is also responsible for elevating the consumer voice to influence strategic planning activities. The Role: The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) - Consumer Engagement facilitates and advocates for a strong, diverse consumer voice as well as promoting effective engagement between health consumers and health services for Hospital South. This role is responsible for elevating the consumer voice to influence strategic planning activities and ensure alignment with Tasmania Health Service (THS) and Department of Health consumer engagement frameworks and policies.The role will involve:Active participation and contribution to the effective operation of the Consumer and Community Engagement Council within Hospitals SouthProviding clinical advice, leadership and direction to relevant key stakeholders regarding adherence to the Partnering with Consumers national standard (Standard 2)Build capacity amongst health consumer representatives and in consumer organisations and health organisations to engage consumers effectively To effectively perform this role, you will need: Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, mediation, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders with a demonstrated ability to influence and motivate staffThorough understanding of the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards particularly Standard 2Highly developed organisational and project management skills including experience leading quality improvement activitiesNote: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the key accountabilities and selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
