Maintenance Officer Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Officer to join our team at Patrick VC Gardens. This full-time role will involve supporting and managing the maintenance team with various tasks related to general maintenance activities, ensuring the aged care home maintains its high standards.
Main Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with the team to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance services.
* Maintain homes to the highest standard, adhering to established best practices.
* Work in a fast-paced team environment where no two days are the same.
* Partner with contractors as needed, ensuring all work meets compliance requirements.
* Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including tasks such as patching and painting, replacing light bulbs, and performing basic building maintenance.
* Ensure accurate completion of paperwork, documentation, and system processes.
Preferred Attributes:
* Prior experience in a maintenance role, preferably in aged care, but not necessary.
* Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
* A valid NSW driver's license is required.
* Ability to interact positively with elderly residents on a daily basis.
Requirements:
* A valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or both, is mandatory for working in the Aged Care sector.
* Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
