Associate Director, Information Governance and Policy (based in Richmond NSW)The company:This institution is a modern, forward-thinking, research-driven organisation situated in the heart of Australia's fastest-growing and economically vital region.Its diverse programs and degrees are thoughtfully designed to align with the needs of future industries, earning it recognition among the 2% of institutions worldwide.Responsibilities: Implement and manage the Institution's Information Governance Framework.Maintain data assets and the official Recordkeeping System.Provide strategic advice on records management, privacy, and compliance.Develop and maintain the University's policy suite for coherence and consistency.Train and support staff in policy processes and address gaps and risks.Align policies with best practices and provide strategic solutions.Manage the Policy DDS and Delegations Register applications.Ensure compliance with relevant records, privacy, and information access legislation.Monitor and interpret legislative changes affecting the University.Deliver required reports for records, archives, freedom of information, and privacy.Lead and motivate a high-performing team in a positive work environment. What you'll need to succeed: Postgraduate qualifications or extensive experience in policy and information governance, with expertise in statutory and regulatory frameworks.Proven ability to interpret, implement, and integrate legislation, including the State Records Act, Privacy Acts, and new laws as they emerge.Experience with Data Governance, Information Governance, and strong understanding of Legislation Privacy is an added advantage.Experience in developing and promoting enterprise-wide information and data management policies and strategies.Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders, build relationships, and create clear, systematic policy documents.Technical & Risk Management Skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
