Making a difference in the lives of ADF personnel
As a Psychologist, you will play a critical role in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of ADF personnel. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to provide diverse and meaningful mental health care across a wide range of cases.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments
* Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions
* Managing crisis presentations, risk assessments, and risk management planning
* Overseeing case management for both internal and externally referred cases
* Collaborating with medical and command teams to ensure holistic care
About the ACT Health Centre
You will be based at the ACT Health Centre, a state-of-the-art health centre providing a wide range of medical services, including primary medical care, aviation & underwater medical services, nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy services.
The ACT Health Centre operates Monday to Friday, with specific roles requiring weekend and on-call shifts.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Australian Citizenship – required to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance
* Unrestricted registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
* Minimum 2 years of full-time experience in mental health within a primary or specialist setting
* Experience delivering evidence-based focused psychological strategies under the Medicare Schedule
* Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)
