Our client, a dynamic and reputable company, is currently seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead their occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental efforts on a significant construction project.
If you possess a strong background in HSE roles, particularly in high-risk environments, and have a track record of implementing and managing safety systems, this role presents a compelling opportunity to contribute to a landmark project while ensuring the utmost safety and compliance.
What you'll be doing: Provide leadership and direction to project teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to the company Management System.
Drive safety best practices across the project through training, systems, consultation, and audits.
Oversee Workplace Health & Safety issues, coordinating responses and taking a hands-on approach.
Manage safety reporting requirements both internally and for clients.
Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions.
Monitor and maintain compliance with environmental legislative requirements.
Assist in the preparation of Environmental Management Plans.
Ensure correct implementation of Project Quality Plans.
Report and record non-conformances, initiating necessary actions.
Coordinate and support quality system audits.
Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and community stakeholders.
What you'll need: Minimum of 5 years' practical experience in occupational HSE roles.
Experience in minimum 5 storey construction projects Experience as HSE Manager on construction projects over $20m involving high-risk environments.
Proven ability to implement and manage safety systems, driving safety culture.
Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to HSE management.
Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
Cert IV OHS minimum, with tertiary education in construction preferred.
