$83,706 - $89,659 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Campbell Park - ACT The Role The Data Manager's responsibilities include: Create and ensure project compliance with CASG Technology Control Plans and data management policies. Formulate techniques and systems for quality data collection models for project wide utilisation to improve the quality, adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data collection efforts within SEA 1442 Phase 5. Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for handling security classified and export controlled data internally and externally to the project. Establish business rules for data sharing and storage to support the programmatic outputs of the project teams. Support project members in the daily use of data systems and procedures and ensure adherence to all project and branch data management policies. Assist with SME advice in artefact generation and report writing as required for the BAU operations of the project. Assist systems engineering, commercial support, integrated logistic support and project management teams with technical data collection and analysis efforts. About our Team The SEA 1442 Maritime Communications Modernisation Program acquires, sustain and evolves maritime communication capabilities of the RAN.SEA 1442 Phase 5 is a project within this Program that is focused on modernising the RAN's SATCOM capabilities, fleet wide, including installation on 16 naval platforms across five ship classes and four Systems Program Offices (SPO). The Data Manager (DM) will assist the project with data trend analysis, artefact and report writing, processing and the sharing of data between our two project teams.The DM will work closely with the Integrated Project Manager (IPM) and the Project Managers of individual work packages to provide the programmatic governance and policy frameworks to improve the data management within the project. Our Ideal Candidate The following attributes are considered fundamental to the Data Manager: Proven experience as data manager within Defence or other public agency. Detailed understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution) including record management tools such as Objective. Familiarity with CASG and Defence databases and collaborative information system technologies (CMT-U, Objective, VERA, Visio, etc). Proficient in MS Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, etc). The following attributes are considered desirable to the Data Manager: Experience in Capability Projects in the Defence and/or Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) environment. Knowledge and experience of capability acquisition and sustainment through Foreign Military Sales (FMS) support arrangements. Understanding of technical, logistical, and operational requirements in the delivery of capability, and knowledge of applicable Defence policy and legislation. Ability and willingness to undertake the role of Objective WorkGroup Coordinator for SEA1442 Phase 5.
