We act for humanity.About the RoleThe Wellbeing Centres are distinctive accommodation centres providing a welcome home away from home for patients and their carers, who travel from some of the most remote parts of Far North Queensland to receive medical treatment. Provide support to guests during the hours that the Centre reception is closed through the coordination of reservations, monitoring building services, and supporting the health and safety of guests, and security of the Centre. Support guests, assist them to meet their health and wellbeing needs and medical requirements whilst staying at the Centre.What You Will BringDemonstrated ability to follow and implement frameworks, policies, procedures, work instructions, guidelines and standards.Ability to communicate with a cross section of the community, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds with sensitivity.Ability to identify and seek support in dealing to escalate complex issues, with an emphasis on the health and wellbeing needs of people.Ability to work under general supervision, autonomously and as part of a team within a matrix structure.Demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing programs to consumers from diverse backgrounds and cultures, including (but not limited to) First Nations, CALD and LGBTIQ+.Why Work With Us?Work for purpose, know that the work you do enables Red Cross to support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability.
