Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region, dedicated to ‘Closing the Gap’ in Aboriginal health within remote Australia.
Anyinginyi consists of six different sections (Health Services, Business Services, People & Capabilities, Corporate Governance, Public Health Unit and Piliyintinji-Ki/ Stronger Families) which allow them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.
Anyinginyi's mission is to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health care services featuring prevention and treatment in the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.

About the Role
Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation has an exciting opportunity for a full time People & Capabilities Support Officer to join their People & Capabilities Section here in Tennant Creek. This role is offered on a Casual basis.
This position works closely with the People & Capability Executive Manager in delivering all facets of recruitment success throughout our organisation, as well as assisting with policy & research support
More specifically, some of your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
* Maintain Job descriptions.
* Maintain forms & other documents in the HRIS.
* Prepare recruitment advertisements in consultation with hiring managers.
* Maintain compliance records of Ochre cards, Driver’s Licenses, AHPRA Registration, Police Checks.
* Send standard emails to unsuccessful applicants from the recruitment system in a timely manner.
* Prepare draft Employment Contracts for new employees.
* Provide high level People & Capability administration support.
* Keep up to date with current employment and human resource legislation and best practice principals for continues improvement.
* Comply with all Anyinginyi policy and procedures, including use of approved IT programs for electronic data management, including the sharing and advocacy of this information to fellow colleagues.
* Developing submissions.
* Drafting discussions/ position papers on policy issues.
* Preparation of reports.
* Actively contribute to a professional and culturally safe work environment.
* Adhere to Anyinginyi Health policies and procedures.
* Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems and processes, including work health and safety, to ensure programs and services meet professional and industry standards.

About you
To be successful in this role, you must be of maintain respect for Traditional Aboriginal Culture and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients. Demonstrated experience with no less than 1 year experience in recruitment/ Human Resource administration and/ or administration & knowledge of OH&S legislation & its application in the workplace.
Demonstrated experience recruitment & skills in database management & record keeping. Must maintain excellent communication skills (both oral & written), ability to work responsibly to plan & use time effectively when working on several tasks at once, as well as a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
Please note: An Ochre Card (NT Working with Children’s card) obtainment is a requirement prior to commencement in this role. Please refer to NT Safe for further information.
You will also need to possess the following:
Essential skills and experience:
* Respect for traditional Aboriginal Culture and the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Aboriginal people.
* Understanding of recruiting and have demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
* Ability to work with various departments and foster teamwork.
* Ability to maintain the confidential nature of human resources work.
* Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
* Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and with limited supervision.
* Understanding of Work Health and Safety, as it relates to the workplace.
* Be in possession of or have ability to obtain OCHRE Card.
* Current NT Drivers license.
