Job Description
As a Senior Application Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work with some of Australia's top retail brands. Your primary responsibility will be to provide technical support to Vii clients and account managers to increase client program value within the Vii business.
You will investigate and resolve customer inquiries, reporting requests, and scheduled tasks. Additionally, you will have the chance to work on website development and undertake testing of the Vii system to ensure all existing and new functionality is correct prior to a production release.
This is an operational role that responds to user inquiries, assesses problems and issues, and leads the resolution. You will be empowered to troubleshoot and skilled with basic technical skills to address issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* 8 years of general IT experience with a focus on application support or software development
* Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Engineering discipline
* Demonstrate capability of investigation of possible bugs or anomalies in data/system behaviour, website maintenance and design, and participation in code review and quality assurance process
* Strong development skills in SQL, HTML & CSS
* Exposure to C#.NET, ASP.NET & JavaScript or equivalent frameworks
* Exposure to SQL, CSS, HTML, C#.NET, ASP.NET & JavaScript
* Exposure in developing, maintaining and executing test cases
* Strong lateral thinking and problem solving skills
* Excellent analytical skills to collate, interpret, prepare and present useful information to a varied audience
* Ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
* Highly articulate in both written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to context switch, multitask and manage multiple priorities
* Strong sense of teamwork and experience in working within a team to achieve common objectives
* Exhibit high energy levels and strong personal drive in a changing environment
* Knowledge of languages, tools and technologies such as Akamai, PowerShell, Splunk, SumoLogic, Git, JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, AWS, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Postman is desirable but not required
In this role, you will:
* Provide Production Support including bug fixes, development of stored procedures, investigation of possible bugs or anomalies in data/system behaviour, website maintenance and design, document root cause and fix, maintain knowledgebase and ensure it is up to date, and provide timely updates on issue and adhere to SLA
* Participate in the code review and quality assurance process
* Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders by providing expert technical support and guidance to stakeholders and customers
* Work closely with business and technical teams to troubleshoot IT incidents and problems
* Understand CI/CD
* Participate in after-hours technical support
* Responsible for designing, coding, testing and maintaining the associated services using frameworks such as SQL, CSS, HTML, C#.NET, ASP.NET & JavaScript
* Understand distributed computing and complex multi-tier applications
* Understanding of HTTP and Web service API
* Practice sustainable incident response and blameless post-mortems
* Drive own professional development to ensure currency of knowledge in relevant areas of expertise
* Ensure PI and other sensitive data remains consistent with our privacy policy and relevant legislation
