The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Advanced (Acute Psychology Service) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
1. Provide an advanced level of clinical expertise and profession specific leadership within the Acute Psychology Service.
2. Coordinate staff rostering and workload allocations across acute and subacute sites.
3. Monitor the appropriate application of psychology professional standards and the quality of psychology activities through clinical audits and review of clinical indicators
4. Coordinate the induction/orientation activities for new psychology staff within the facility
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
5. A tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution
6. AHPRA Registration
7. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
8. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
9. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
10. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
20. Permanent part time (30.4 hrs p.f)
21. Base salary ranging from $70.99 - $74.07 per hour
About Us
The Acute Psychology Service is located within Allied Health and Rehabilitation Services and provides both inpatient and outpatient support to patients presenting to hospital with physical health and comorbid psychological presentations. The unit works within and alongside interdisciplinary teams, providing a holistic focus on patient care and management across the patient's hospital and discharge journey.
