About this role...
Reporting to the General Counsel, you will work autonomously out of the Melbourne office delivering legal services to the Aftermarket Business Unit, executive management and other key decision makers across a diverse range of subject areas.
Your key accountabilities will include (but not be limited to):-
1. Advice on sales, distribution and licensing agreements, including drafting, reviewing and negotiating high volume of critical matters;
2. Manage complex legal matters and projects, requiring regular stakeholder engagement across supply chain, distribution and regulatory compliance;
3. Advice on routine transactional matters, such as non-disclosure and other contracts;
4. Critical analysis of legal risks relating to new products and services, including penetration into new markets; and
5. Development and management of a suite of precedents via in-house software to manage documents.
About you...
To be successful in this role you will have:-
6. 8+ years post admission experience in Corporate & Commercial law (in-house experience is essential);
7. Demonstrated ability to advise on a broad range of legal issues including contracts, corporate, commercial, IP, corporate governance and privacy (significant experience in IP and commercialisation will be highly regarded);
8. Ability to prioritise and manage high volume of work in a rapidly changing environment;
9. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with proven ability to maintain constructive collaborative relationships;
10. Ability to translate complex legal concepts into accessible legal advice;
11. Strong commercial acumen and ability to contribute to a company's strategic direction;
12. Ability to work autonomously and be proactively engaged in achieving team goals; and
13. Commitment to professional excellence and desire to learn and apply new skills.
