We are looking for a Permanent Part Time Work Health and Safety Coordinator

Eldercare is seeking for an immediate start a Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator who is passionate about the safety and wellbeing of our people and residents. This is a Permanent part-time position.
As the WHS Coordinator, you will assist in coordinating and promoting Work Health & Safety practices in line with Eldercare’s Purpose and Values, objectives, policies and Work Health & Safety operational plans. To fulfil the requirements of this role, you will:
* Organise and conduct WHS inspections and site audits
* Collate incident and hazard reports, ensuring appropriate actions have been taken and documented
* Ensure major WHS Programs are implemented at site level
* Liaise and assist Manual Handling Trainers to ensure the delivery of the Eldercare Manual Handling program
* Assist in the evaluation and risk assessment of new equipment
* Be responsible for delivering and coordinating WHS meetings
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Knowledge of the WHS Act and Regulations 2012
* Understanding of Work Health Safety Systems
* Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or related industry experience and training
* A current Australian driver's licence
* Strong communication skills both written and verbal
