This isn't your typical admin role - you'll be the key contact for patients as they receive life-changing care. Your support will be essential in ensuring their journey runs smoothly, from initial appointments to billing and discharge.This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced and meaningful environment, providing secretarial and reception support across our centre. It's not just about managing paperwork - it's about being part of a team that truly impacts the lives of patients and their families.Key Responsibilities:Be the warm and friendly face that welcomes patients and collects their detailsProcessing Medicare & private billing.Ensure accuracy in patient medical records and maintain privacy standards.Competent on Excel, Word and Outlook.Providing a high level of customer service by ensuring the appropriate delivery of services to patients and their families.Liaise with patients and their families in a friendly and compassionate manner.Is this you?We're searching for a proactive, compassionate individual who excels in a medical administration role. You'll need to be organized, detail-oriented, and ready to provide exceptional service to patients during what can be an emotional and challenging time. You should also be comfortable managing site maintenance and coordinating with contractors as needed.Skills & Experience:Previous experience in a hospital, medical practice, or day procedure reception (electronic practice management systems experience highly desirable)Strong understanding of medical reception, radiation oncology, or inpatient servicesExperience in coordinating maintenance tasks and liaising with contractors is a plusAbility to manage time efficiently, work independently, and collaborate with a teamExcellent communication and problem-solving skills, especially in sensitive situationsCompetence with Windows-based programs such as Email and WordBasic knowledge of medical billing and health insurance claims (Medicare, Private Health Insurance, and DVA)Join a team that is as passionate about delivering outstanding care as you are!
