About the role:
* Develop living and life skills in young people.
* Be a positive role model, reinforcing good behavior through social learning, responsibility, and emotional intelligence.
* Promote democracy and support young people to participate in decisions affecting their lives.
* Provide support to children and young people in accommodation services, including household duties like cleaning, shopping, and meal preparation as needed.
The ITC system focuses on:

* Clear pathways to less intensive services and permanency
* Broad range of placement options for mental health, physical health, and education outcomes
Primary Objectives:
* Deliver trauma-informed services with positive outcomes for young people and their families
* Provide safety, stability, predictability, and consistency through house guidelines and individual strategies
* Participate in team meetings, house meetings, and case review meetings to meet young people's needs
Key Selection Criteria:
* Diploma in Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent qualification required
* Aboriginal staff: experience and willingness to train essential
* Experience in youth services, residential care, or supported accommodation
* Knowledge of Aboriginal culture and values, and awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children and young people
* Experience working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma
Requirements:
* Valid Driver's License
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check
* Working with Children Check
* NDIS Workers Screening Check
