We’re looking for a full-time Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM) to manage day-to-day operations at our busy and dynamic Darwin-based operation.Hardy Aviation operates a fleet of 30+ aircraft and approximately 100 employees, providing scheduled, specialised charter and freight services.Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for the timely scheduling and management of maintenance activities for company aircraft, including engines, propellers, rotors, appliances, emergency equipment, and parts in accordance with the requirements of CASR Part 42, the CAMO Exposition, and associated policies and procedures.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEstablish and develop maintenance programs for the aircraft managed by the organisation;Manage and approve maintenance programs, modifications, and repairs;Manage CAMO performance to ensure ongoing compliance with appropriate CASA regulations, MOS, and the CAMO Exposition;Provide leadership and direction to CAMO employees including recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, and career development;Collaborate closely with Operations, managing maintenance scheduling to ensure aircraft availability;Ensure modifications and repairs (changes) are carried out to approved standards;Ensure all maintenance is carried out in accordance with the relevant AMP and released to service in accordance with requirements;Ensure all applicable airworthiness directives and operational directives, with a continued airworthiness impact, are complied with;Ensure all known defects are rectified or deferred;Coordinate scheduled maintenance, the application of airworthiness directives, the replacement of service life limited parts, and component inspections to ensure compliance;Ensure all continuing airworthiness records are properly managed;Ensure aircraft weight and balance statements reflect the current status of the aircraft;Manage relationships with Part 145 and CAR 30 maintenance organisation(s) including establishment and review of maintenance contracts;Ensure Certificates of Airworthiness for company aircraft remain valid in respect of the airworthiness of the aircraft and any other condition specified in the Certificate;Report Major Defects to CASA and the aircraft manufacturer;Conduct regular reviews and updates of the Part 42 Exposition and other approved manuals including the AMP and MELS;Support the goals of the company Safety and Quality Management system.Minimum RequirementsAt least 3 years experience in continuing airworthiness management of aircraft;Comprehensive knowledge of CASA regulations and standards applicable to airworthiness;Proven ability to develop and deliver on projects;Demonstrated ability to manage multiple sources of complex information;Must be able to meet the CASA eligibility criteria to be a Form 4 holder as a CAM.Only applicants that have the right to work in Australia will be considered.This position suits a CAM looking for an interesting position working with a varied fleet of aircraft and a friendly team.We can offer assistance with relocation costs, a highly competitive salary, flexible working arrangements, a generous leave allowance, and opportunities for professional development.
