About The Role We have built a new social media and location-sharing platform that is truly innovative and novel that will launch in Q1 2025. You will be joining a core team of iOS and Android engineers where you will have a significant amount of autonomy and input. You will be involved in the ongoing development of our iOS products and be a key member of the team. We encourage creative thinking and support lateral thinkers who can build out solutions in a scalable and modular way. Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain advanced iOS applications with a focus on scalability, performance, and usability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features that align with our mission of privacy, security and innovation. Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability across a range of iOS devices. Write XC, UI and functional tests to ensure maximum code and app quality. Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications to deliver seamless user experiences. Stay at the forefront of iOS development trends, tools and frameworks. Contribute to and uphold best practices for coding, testing, and software design. Be an active member of the team, ready to share your knowledge and ideas. What We Are Looking For Significant experience developing, deploying and maintaining apps with the Cocoa/UIKit SDK with Swift. Bonus points if you have good experience playing with SwiftUI. Strong experience with internal databases like CoreData and Realm.io. Strong experience with Mapping tools like Mapkit and Google maps. Double bonus points if you have a background implementing encryption. Experience building exceptional and maintainable apps. Experience with modern software development techniques and project design patterns. Solid product/design instincts and a desire to be involved in product decisions. Understand the principles and process associated with continuous integration. Outstanding written and oral communications skills. Be self-motivated, and deliver against mutually agreed timeframes. Extra bonus points if you've worked in a rapidly growing company where time is of the essence. This role is based in Melbourne, Australia and working from the office will be required. The office is located opposite Flinders Street Station in Southbank. You will be provided with the flexibility to work from home based on the nature of your work schedule.
