ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Director of Rehab Services and Physical Therapist, provide various methods of Physical Therapy according to patient treatment plans. Serve as a resource person for PTs, PT Assistants, and PT Aides.QualificationsMINIMUM EDUCATION:Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:Previous experience in Physical Therapy preferred.REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:Eligible for or licensed by Texas Board of Physical and Occupational Therapy Examiners as a Physical Therapy Assistant. Basic Life Support certification required through the American Heart Association or other pre-approved accredited certification program.REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of regulations, QA and procedures, and quality patient care. Successful completion of department-specific and/or hospital-required training courses. Must be able to treat patients of all ages from pediatric to geriatric.
