Qualified Accountant or Senior Bookkeeper
WPE is a progressive and growing logistics company that offers a wide range of services to a broad customer base including all areas of mining, food, alcohol, pharmaceutical, and farming suppliers.
We service Australia wide with a range of strategically placed depots that allow us to provide Time Sensitive Freight solutions to an extensive client base.
WPE has made the decision to add to our existing senior Accounts team with this permanent full-time position.
Qualifications & Experience
* Accounting qualifications together with extensive hands-on experience.
Tasks & Responsibilities
* Ability to analyze and think critically about business issues.
* Assist Accounts Payable and Receivable staff.
* Manage payroll for a staff of 60 using Employment Hero.
* Full management of weekly Creditor Payments.
* Management Reporting using Xero.
* Ability to learn and master our in-house Transport Management system.
* Creation and management of relevant work papers both monthly and at the end of the year.
* Fuel tax credit reconciliation.
* Monthly BAS preparation and lodgment together with other statutory payments.
* Monthly P&L reconciliation.
* Understanding of Company Structures and Trusts is an advantage.
* Bank reconciliations.
* Work closely with external accountants.
* Flexible work hours.
