Senior Clinical Coder - Auditor/Educator
This role is an opportunity to join the Tasmanian Health Service's Clinical Coding team as a Senior Clinical Coder - Auditor/Educator.
The Role:
* Develop and undertake regular clinical coding quality audits in accordance with the Agency's Clinical Coding Auditing Framework.
* Provide clinical coding training and education activities to the Clinical Coding team, including support and mentoring to team members.
* Prepare and deliver clinical coding related education and training activities to the Clinical Coding team.
* Support and mentor new and existing Clinical Coders, including provision of clinical coding training.
* Assist the Clinical Coding Management Team with provision of clinical coding, DRG and activity-based funding education to clinical staff.
* Undertake accurate and timely clinical coding of inpatient separations in accordance with data standards and reporting requirements.
The Team:
The Health Information Management Service provides a crucial service by integrating clinical and patient information. The THS Clinical Coding team is responsible for accurate and timely classification of public inpatient episodes of care across Tasmania.

Details of Appointment:
* Multiple permanent, full-time and part-time positions available.
* Working up to 76 hours per fortnight.
* Commencing as soon as possible.
Remuneration:
$98,255 to $103,069 pro rata per annum, plus employer superannuation contribution.
