Your next role: As the Unit Manager - Site Support service, you will lead waste reduction and find and deliver continuous improvement initiatives across the Pinkenba manufacturing site. As part of the Pinkenba leadership team, you manage the following areas - Planning, Engineering, HSC, Maintenance and Facilities, providing coaching and development for 10 direct reports. This is a Pinkenba site-based role, where you will embrace working in an agile environment, and help embed the new Dynamic Shared Ownership (DSO) operating model. Day to day duties will vary but key responsibilities include: Engage with site functions to determine savings for MOVE initiatives, ensuring savings targets are achieved. Assist with the development and review of key site performance indicators, driving action that align with the site and regional goals. Lead and facilitate waste reduction/elimination through structured programs, including processing mapping, loss and waste analysis etc. Lead the onePSS site implementation and sustainment, leveraging best practice and change management methodology. Support site Best Practice Leads to drive operational program outcomes. Develop leadership throughout all parts of our business. Contribute to the development of people and processes. Influence and engage work teams to evaluate improvements and drive actions. Review continuous improvement opportunities for digital implementation. Be a SME in lean practices and lead the continuous improvement journey at site. Improve site problem solving capabilities using onePSS tools. Utilise available resources effectively to remove roadblocks and enhance productivity. Delivering projects in line with legislation and good manufacturing practices. Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement, encouraging new ideas and approaches driving tangible value. Support and develop frameworks and structures that optimize processes and resources for value creation within our mission. Encourage autonomy and accountability within teams, promoting a sense of ownership. Does this sound like you? You will come from a strong engineering background, ideally from a chemical or FGCG environment. You may have previously been an Engineering Manager or Business Improvement Engineer in a similar industry. Strong manufacturing experience. Excellent knowledge in LEAN practices and methodologies. Experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team is essential. Previous experience in a high-risk environment would be highly beneficial. Experience in guiding teams through organizational change.
