Develops and implements social media strategiesMonitors social media activityUses data to improve communication outcomesYou will enhance our department's reputation and create social license through data-driven analysis, proactive communication, and compelling storytelling that highlights our role in Australian Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry, and its impact on the economy and global issues.
By providing advice and actionable insights from analysis to inform evidence-based policy adjustments and help the department better understand its stakeholders, you'll build trust through proactive, informed decision-making.
You will contribute to positioning the department to be a forward-thinking, citizen-focused regulator, enhancing public engagement and perception.
Your team also supports internal clients by aligning their work with informed goals and refining strategies based on performance.
Your contribution to building this capability will better position us as a leader in today's dynamic communication landscape, enhancing public perception while delivering more effective services to internal stakeholders.
The key duties of the position include The Job
The duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Platform Implementation: Lead the setup of a new data analytics and social media management platform, including governance, frameworks, and policies.Data Integration and Analysis: Consolidate data sources for comprehensive analysis, including behavioural insights.
Utilise the department's new platform, Sprinklr, for advanced analytics such as real-time monitoring and predictive insights.Engagement and Reporting: Track impressions, measure community engagement, and report findings to improve services.Training and Capacity Building: Enhance staff skills in data interpretation and communication strategies.Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders across DAFF.Continuous Evaluation: Monitor communication metrics, adjust strategies, and provide succinct briefings to clients and executive to demonstrate progress.Administrative Functions: Undertake a range of administrative functions for the section including budgeting, performance management, and reporting.Effective Communication Strategies: Tailor messages to address specific public concerns and perspectives, ensuring relevance and resonance.Crisis Management: Monitor social media reporting in real-time to enable client areas to respond swiftly and appropriately during crises.Policy Support and Media Outreach: Analyse trends to inform policies and identify effective communication channels. #J-18808-Ljbffr
