Experienced Electrical Supervisor for Government projects. Work with the elec/mech team, provide supervision, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. Contract position - 38 hrs per week (minimum) - Temp to Perm Depot is based in Caboolture, flexible working arrangement Supervisor for delivery of works, WHS and compliance Company: This company has historically managed building maintenance, surveying, engineering, interior design, landscape architecture, program management & property services for the QLD Government. They are now looking to appoint a trade qualified electrician who is eager to take a step into more of a supervisory role to oversee and review various product installations, and repairs while ensuring quality control to AS/NZS standards. Position: To be successful in this role you will have recent experience working as an Electrician: You will assess then report maintenance requests to the trades staff on a daily basis. Your place of work is the Depot, plus any required site and project visits (company vehicle provided). You will need to be computer literate as reporting and communication is an essential part of your job. Inspecting electrical installations to validate compliance with AS/NZS Standards, Contract Documentation, Specifications, and standard of workmanship. Inspections will be carried out for Smoke Alarm installations and ceiling fans in Government owned houses Inspections for switchboards, sub-circuits, and electrical reticulation systems in DET schools, and LED lighting installations in DET schools. Electrical site inspections of upgrade projects and air conditioning installs. Carry out safety audits to validate that electrical contractors are following their SWMS. Liaise with clients and contractors in relation to completion of projects. Investigate technical issues and provide written technical reports. Reporting status of works to line managers and others. General Computer Admin Duties 38-40 hours a week and you will receive $65.91/hr super. Your Experience and Qualifications: Ideally possess 5 years of recent post-trade experience as an Electrician Demonstrate previous Supervisory or Team leader capabilities Electrical work licence Class drivers licence White/blue card Blue Card – working with children an advantage Work with the electrical and mechanical team, supervise field staff and contractors and elec/mech supervisors Quoting and delivery of works Provide technical advice to stakeholders Must have a thorough understanding of AS/NZS 3000 (Wiring Rules), and the Electrical Safety Act, Regulations, and Codes of Practice.
