Golding currently seeks a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to be based initially in the Brisbane office located in Milton. After an initial training and Golding familiarisation period, this role will move to a site-based role on one of our projects located in Queensland, New South Wales or South Australia on a FIFO basis.
The successful applicant will have recently completed a mechanical engineering qualification and possess exemplary communication, analytical, organisational skills as well as advanced computer skills, a willingness to work and be part of a highly motivated team. Key role tasks:
1. Participate and contribute to plant risk assessments as appropriate.
2. Provide technical support and expertise to the business in relation to plant & equipment, maintenance and engineering within the limits of your knowledge and experience.
3. Undertake various Plant Engineering projects.
4. Work with the Specialist Mechanical Engineering – Systems to develop proactive maintenance tasks and ensure they are captured appropriately as maintenance tasks, maintenance plans, BOMS, etc.
5. Perform predictive analysis to estimate how and when components may fail to improve equipment management plans.
6. Develop SAP task lists and associated objects as required in accordance with approved lifecycle plant rate strategies and maintenance plan requests.
7. Create and maintain work instructions for tasks performed as part of role summary.
8. Work with the Technical Specialists and your Manager to identify issues with Plant Systems and participate in implementation of improvements;
Key capability requirements:
9. Recent Tertiary Engineering qualifications (not Masters or Post Graduate) are essential;
10. Ability to foster strong client relationships;
11. Strong communication skills including verbal, written and interpersonal and the ability to interact and liaise with all levels including internal, external stakeholders and clients;
12. Prioritisation and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines;
13. Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
14. Advanced MS Office, SAP, Mine planning software and Power Bi skills are essential.
