About VHBA The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) is responsible for the rollout of the Victorian Government's multi-billion-dollar health capital projects. We're delivering world-class health facilities across Victoria including new public hospitals and emergency care, community health services, ambulance branches, residential aged care and mental health facilities. VHBA also provides technical support across engineering, property, asset management and environmental sustainability disciplines.
The Opportunity:
The Victorian Health Building Authority (VHBA) oversees a capital investment program focused on asset strategy development and the delivery of infrastructure projects. The Head of Media and Content will lead strategic communications, managing both internal and external messaging, media relations, and a dynamic team to support VHBA's goals. This results-driven professional will bring extensive experience in large-scale projects, offering strategic direction, handling communications challenges, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Key aspects of the role include:
* Strategic Leadership: Oversee a multi-disciplinary team and develop proactive media strategies and provide strategic communications.
* Risk Management: Develop complex proactive marketing strategies under tight deadlines, mitigating potential risk to health projects.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with government, stakeholders, and media to enhance VHBA's reputation.
We are looking for:
* Outstanding written communication skills
* Strong understanding of Government processes and the current political landscape
* Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Media, Journalism or related field
